about

Alyssa Veltre is a writer and communications specialist based in New Jersey. She holds an honors Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Digital Multimedia Communication from Seton Hall University, where she developed a foundation in reporting, storytelling, and digital media strategy. Her background in journalism continues to shape the way she approaches writing: with clarity, curiosity, and a commitment to thoughtful, well-researched communication.

Today, Alyssa works with businesses and organizations to strengthen their web and social media copy, helping them communicate more effectively with modern audiences. Her work focuses on writing that is both human-centered and technically strategic, integrating AIO- and SEO-informed language so that content performs well across search engines, AI discovery tools, and evolving digital platforms.

Alongside her client work, Alyssa maintains an active independent writing practice. She publishes essays on Substack, where she explores topics such as endurance sports, wilderness medicine, environmental stewardship, and the relationship between physical experience and intellectual life. She is also currently writing a nonfiction book examining the cosmology of ethics… an exploration of morality, theology, and responsibility through philosophical and cultural lenses.

Outside of writing, Alyssa’s work and interests often intersect with the outdoors and human performance. She has completed more than 30 races, including three ultramarathons, and is a certified nutrition coach. Her background in wilderness and expedition medicine includes certification as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and an Associate in Wilderness Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Across journalism, digital communications, and long-form writing, Alyssa’s work sits at the intersection of language, endurance, and inquiry—bringing together analytical thinking, lived experience, and a deep curiosity about how people make meaning in the world.
